Although these military swords closely resemble the popular 1860 Light Cavalry, they are actually modeled after the Napoleon Cavalry Saber which had a long, wide fuller and a very sharp, practical point. The thick and moderately curved 33 ¾ inch blade is forged out of 1055 carbon steel. They have a 5 ¼ inch real leather wrapped handle.
