Heavy Cavalry Swords for sale are 41 ½ inches in all and weigh 40 ounces. These popular military swords are a modern version of the M1860 Heavy Cavalry Saber or Old Wrist Breaker Sword. This modern version features a functional and sharpened steel blade. The 36 inch blade is forged in heat treated 1055 carbon steel resulting in a powerful spring temper. The 5 ½ inch real leather wrapped handle is bound with brass wire and topped by a tough pommel. The brass hand guard features a traditional three bar design.
