They feature outstanding balance with light and fast construction. The little niku, apple seed edge geometry, makes these best suited for traditional cutting targets such as tatami. The Wave Katana Swords are named for the wave, or nami, themed fittings and crab menuki. The Wave Katana Swords are 38 3/8th inches in all with a 9 ½ inch handle. The handle has two tapered bamboo Mekugi. These swords typically weigh 2 pounds with a 5 inch point of balance and 7/8th inch Sori. They have a steel tsuba and a brass Habaki and brass Seppa.
