Basket Hilt Sparring Swords for sale are 41 inches in all and weigh 1 ¾ pounds. These sparring swords have a Scottish Basket Hilt design with modern synthetic blade construction. The silver colored 34 inch synthetic blade has been crafted to flex in the final one-third of the length near the tip. A high tensile steel rod runs along the full length of the handle to reinforce the blade and tang joint. This also removes handle flex normally found in plastic training swords. They have a 6 ½ inch handle and a point of balance at 6 inches. The grip is made from a rubber-like thermoplastic material which absorbs strike impact and affords a tight fit on the tang.
