There is a functional glass breaker located at the tip of the handle. The Alpha is 1.25 inches wide at the guard and 3/16th inch thick at the guard. These knives weigh 9.7 ounces. They have a gray Titanium (Ti) coating. The Rockwell Scale is 60-63 HRC for the D2 Tool Steel blades.
