Sword Canes became popular during the 18th and 19th centuries. It was less socially acceptable to openly carry a sword in public, so the stick sword emerged. This was a cane, umbrella or stick with an edged blade inside. These function as a typical walking cane or working umbrella with a sharpened, edged blade that could be easily and quickly removed from the shaft.

Loyal Eagle Sword Canes are 33 inches in all. The top of the cane unscrews from the black aluminum shaft to produce the beveled, pointed 12 inch blade. The cane handle features the face of the unyielding loyal eagle. Designs cover the entire sword cane handle while the cane shaft is accented with matching designs on the antique metal throat of the shaft.
