Bear Grylls Ultimate Fixed Blade Knife for sale is from his outdoor survival series of camping essentials. Whether backpacking with celebrities or running wild alone, Bear Grylls has a unique blend of survival skills and common sense that is evident in this product line. The Ultimate Fixed Blade Knife is one of the most popular items in this collection. In the open position, the full tang, Ultimate Fixed Blade Knife measures 10 inches in all with a 4.8 inch blade. The half-serrated edge, drop-point style blade is designed for cutting rope while the high carbon stainless steel blade material helps preserve the edge. In order to maximize comfort and minimize slippage, Bear Grylls uses an ergonomic textured grip for the handle design of the knife. These compact knives are ideal for camping and backpacking weighing only 14.7 ounces with the sheath; 11.2 ounces without. The sheath is manufactured of lightweight, mildew resistant, military grade nylon. Incorporated into the sheath, is a fire starter. The fire starter components include a Ferrocerium rod that locks into the sheath of the knife and a striker notch located at the end of the knife blade. The Bear Grylls Ultimate Fixed Blade Knife also features a diamond knife sharpener integrated in the sheath allowing for sharpening whenever needed. This multi-functional knife also has a stainless steel pommel at the base of the handle that can be used for hammering. The final component to the Ultimate Fixed Blade Knife is the emergency whistle that is integrated into the lanyard cord.
